Watch Out for TRUST Scams

AMA has been approved to administer The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). AMA has worked closely with the FAA to ensure that TRUST meets the intent of Congress without placing an undue burden on our hobby community. TRUST is free to take, so be cautious of any site that has a fee associated with taking the exam. Additionally, some sites might offer to send you a laminated copy of your TRUST completion certificate for a fee. There is no requirement to purchase these cards. There is no set deadline to take TRUST, but the FAA recommends taking the test as soon as practical.

For any additional questions regarding TRUST, visit AMA’s TRUST FAQ.

Reprinted from the AMA Web Site

I took the test and it was about 15-30 minutes. It's more like an on-line training session . When I printed my completion card at the end I printed it at 90% one page at a time. I flipped the paper over and sent it back through so it was front to back then put it in one of those Scotch Self-Seal Laminating Pouches so it fits in my billfold.

Here is the "Mowing Schedule" for the next six weeks. We need some volunteers so go to the Member's Only Section and sign up. It's really easy just find a date and click anywhere on that line and the system will put your name in for that week. If you put it in the wrong week just click your name and the system will take it out. You can then go to the week you really wanted and click it. Slice of Pie.

Coming Up

8/8/21 - Club meeting at RG Satow RC Flying Field at 4:00pm

There's an App for that!

You can get the Peter Goldsmith TRIM CHART on your phone now. Well I know if you have the fruity kind of phone you can. I'm not sure about the Little mechanical guy in a tin can model.

It's called "Trim App Lite 1.0" and you can contact darajabmobile@gmail.com to get the full version. The Lite version is available at the App store.

I was unable to contact the developer but I did get some screen shots from my phone. They are on our NEW STUFF page.

Thought for Today

When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.  "
